Each player is dealt a set number of cards at the start of the game, typically 13. To begin the discard pile, tin pattthe top card is positioned face-up, & the remaining cards form a draw pile. Players take turns selecting cards from the discard or draw piles in an effort to build better hands by creating combinations that are allowed.
