A set number of cards—typically seven or ten—are dealt to each player, with the remaining cards making up the draw pile. The goal is to make sattakinjlegitimate melds, which can be runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit) or sets (three or four cards of the same rank). During their turn, players start by selecting a card from the draw or discard pile. They have to throw away one card from their hand after drawing.
