Each player is dealt a set number of cards at the start of the game, typically 13. One card is positioned face-up to begin the discard pileus visa slots check, & the other cards form a draw pile. The players alternately draw a card from the discard pile or the draw pile, then discard one card from their hand. The round is won when a player declares "Rummy" after successfully forming sets and sequences with every card in their deck.
