Keeping track of which cards have been discarded and which are still in play is a useful tactic. Your strategy can be modified by keeping an eye on the cards your opponents are discarding or pickrummy time apking up, which will give you important information about their possible melds. An opponent may be attempting to form a high-scoring meld if, for example, you observe that they routinely discard low-value cards while holding onto high-value ones. In these situations, you might decide to strategically discard your own high-value cards to thwart their plans or simply hold onto them longer.
