The goal is to combine cards to form sets or runs after each player is dealt a certain number of cards from a standard deck. In order to improve their hands and strategically prevent opponents from finishing their own melds, players alternately draw cards from the deck or the discard pile. Players must carefully analyze their moves as the game goes on, balancing the possible advantages of drawing particular cards against the possibility of disclosing important information to their rivals.
