One card is dealt face-up to start the discard pile, and the other cards form a draw pile. The top card in the discard pile may be picked rummy star apkup by players, or they may draw from the top of the draw pile. Players can place their sets or runs on the table after they have formed legitimate sets or runs. Until the draw pile runs out of cards or until one player successfully melds all of their cards, the game is over.
