Usually, a standard 52-card deck is used for play. Three or more cards of the same rank make up a set, and three or more consecutive cards ofslots all app the same suit make up a run. Each player is dealt a hand of cards at the start of the game, and the remaining cards are arranged in the draw pile by being placed face down on the table. The discard pile is then started by placing the top card of the draw pile face up next to it.
