A player holding 5♠, 6♠, & 7♠, for example, can easily build upon this sequence by drawing 4♠ or 8♠, increasing their chances of finishing their hand. Since sets depend on parummy rummyrticular ranks, they can be more difficult to form. Players shouldn't undervalue sets, though; a balanced hand that can adjust to shifting conditions during play can be produced by combining sets and sequences. If a player has two 7s (7♣ & 7♦), for instance, they should work on sequences with other cards in their hand and watch for additional 7s.
