Sets are made up of three or four cards with the same rank, and runs are groups of three or more cards in the same suit that occur consecutively. Depending osta kign which version is selected, each player starts the game with a different number of cards. With all of the cards remaining, a draw pile faces down and a discard pile started with the top card turned face up. Each player takes a turn drawing from either pile, after which they each discard one card from their hand.
