On the other hand, if they are regularly discarding cards of a specific rank, it can mean they are noslots vipt pursuing that set. Also, it can be instructive to observe the timing of your opponents' moves. A player may be about to go out if they abruptly alter their discard pattern or begin picking up cards more forcefully. With this knowledge, you can modify your approach appropriately, possibly by keeping some cards longer or altering your discard strategy to stop them from finishing their melds. Gaining insight into opponents' playing styles is another part of observing them.
