The winner is the first player to remove every card from their deck. Depending on the particular rummy variation being played, each player staslots fruitsrts the game with a set number of cards. The top card is turned over to start the discard pile, and the remaining cards create a face-down draw pile. Each player discards one card from their hand onto the discard pile after drawing cards in turn from either the draw or discard pile.
