The goal of the game, which is played with a standard 52-card deck, is to reduce the number of points in your hand by forming sets and runs of cards. Ten cards are dealt tgame beto each player at the start of the game; the remaining cards are then arranged face down on the table to form the draw pile. The discard pile is started by turning the top card in the draw pile face up. Every turn, a player must discard one card from their hand onto the discard pile after drawing a card from either the draw or discard pile.
